News & Events

UPCOMING SHOWS:
Our second annual summer production will be August 1 and 2 at 7:30 pm and August 3 at 2:00 pm.

UPCOMING AUDITIONS:
Auditions for our summer show will be Tuesday, May 27 at 6:00 pm. Auditions will consist of cold readings from Crimes of the Heart, The Spelling Bee, Murder in the Magnolias, and The Matchmaker. The play will be chosen from these four based on these cold readings. Rehearsals will begin July 21.

INTERNATIONAL THESPIAN SOCIETY:
CONGRATULATIONS to the 12 new members of the International Thespian Society: junior Nathan Moon, sophomores Christian Gentry, Patrick Gwin, Stephen King, Wallace Perry, Suzanna Tertichny, and Jenny Tortoriello, and freshmen Brooke Fortune, Izzy Kapik, Danielle Meinert, MacKenzie Perpich, and Jacob Valleroy!

Northview Theatre Company

Thespians
The International Thespian Society is an international honor society for students who demonstrate 100+ hours of excellence in high school theatre. Thespians attend an annual conference every February and participate in community service activities including their annual charity drive for “Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat.” Thespians are also in charge of the Drama Club, which is a group of students who are interested in theatre and hope to become members of ITS in the future. ITS inductions are held in December and April.

Thespian Conference 2008 was wonderful! Of the 25 students who attended, 5 competed in Individual Events, receiving ratings of Superior and Excellent. Christina Pasqualone’s performance of “I’d Give It All For You” with North Springs’ Greg Kamp was selected for the International Conference this summer. In addition, Jennifer Allman, Brooke Cameron, Veronica Evans, Trevor Goble, Jeff Lester, and Elizabeth Miller auditioned for colleges and received a total of 46 callbacks to a variety of schools. We are so proud of everyone and look forward to Conference 2009 in Columbus, GA!

Improv Club
The Improv Club meets once a week to provide members with an opportunity to participate in improvisation. Sessions are led by students.  Occasionally, students may pay for workshops led by professionals to teach improvisation techniques.
