The Beta Club is proud of the 376 members! The Senior Beta Club is an academic-leadership-service organization for students in grades 10 through twelve. Its purpose is to encourage effort and reward achievement, and to promote those qualities of character that make for good citizenship. Beta serves to encourage and assist its members to continue their education after high school. In order to join Beta, prospective members must fill out an application form, attach dues and a transcript to give proof of grades, and provide hours to show their dedication to Beta. It should be turned into Ms. Ely's room 539 asap and then if they are admitted to the club, they will be inducted that fall. Requirement for membership: 88 cumulative average; community service activities Dues: $25 for new members and $10 for old members (for senior medallions) Service Hours to remain as a member in good standing : Attending meetings is a requirement (unless you have a zero period or morning college english, etc.) Shubhi Goyal and Jenny Mao Meredith Colton Jonathan Hsieh Karthik Narayan Kate Hawkins and Caitlin Falcon
The Junior Beta Club is an academic-leadership-service organization for students in grade 9. Students that were members at the middle school level are automatically placed in Northview's Jr. Beta Club. Its purpose is to encourage effort and reward achievement, and to promote those qualities of character that make for good citizenship.
Responsibilities All members must maintain a grade point average of at least 88 . A first office visit for a minor academic or behavior problem may result in restriction from participation for two weeks.
