The Fine Arts Department at Northview High School is very dynamic and includes 3 Orchestras, 3 Concert Bands, a Marching Band, 2 Jazz Ensembles, 4 Choral Ensembles, a Jazz Vocal Ensemble, a complete sequence of Drama activities including Technical Theater, and a Visual Arts Department that includes 2-D (sequence of drawing, painting, photography), 3-D (sequence of sculpture, ceramics, jewelry), and Advanced Placement 3-D and 2-D. We also offer Advanced Placement Music Theory to support the entire music program, as well as Music Appreciation and Guitar and Piano Labs. In addition to the individual areas, we are also pleased to produce a full-scale Broadway Musical each year that pulls together all aspects of our program and serves as an outreach to our entire school community. We are very proud of our outstanding Fine Arts Department which is supported by the Northview High School Fine Arts Association - our outstanding parent organization. It is my pleasure to serve as the Fine Arts Department Chair and I would like to invite you to join us for all of our wonderful productions this year.

Congratulations are in order! Northview's Music Program has once again been named a finalist for the 2007 Grammy Signature School Awards. This means Northview is in the top 100 schools for music in the nation. We are shooting for the top 40 for the award (to be announced Spring 2007.)
