COMMUNITY NIGHT
Welcome to MOE'S...this Thursday, January 18th, which is a Community Night---no homework! Why not spend it with friends and family at MOE'S, the one closest to the school on Medlock Bridge Road. It's Northview Spirit Night from 4pm-8pm
so be sure to put your receipt in the bucket by the cash registers. Proceeds will help support the boys Basketball team.

LITERARY MAGAZINE
We are now opening applications for staff positions of the literary magazine. The literary magazine is a school publication focused on celebrating Northview’s creative writing and art work. Students who join the staff learn skills in InDesign and Photoshop, and also create submissions for the school’s website. If you are interested in becoming a staff member collect an application form from Ms. Pope in room 509.

FENCING TEAM
Northview Titans medaled in the seventh Georgia High School Fencing League tournament of the season this past Saturday hosted by Walton High School. Congratulations to Men's Gold medalist Alex Kim, Men's Bronze medalist Miles Gilbreth and Women's Silver Medalist Gracie Gilbreth! Seven men and seven women have qualified to compete in the GHSFL Individual Championship which will be hosted by Northview on Jan 27. Northview Men rank 6th in the league while Northview Women rank 4th. It has been a good Titan season!

SIDE-BY-SIDE TUTORING CLUB
The Northview Side-by-Side tutoring club will be meeting this Wednesday after school in the Media Center. Come for free tutoring in almost any academic subject!

BOYS TENNIS TRY-OUTS
Due to the weather on Wednesday, Varsity Boys tennis tryouts will now be on Friday January 19th at 3:45. You must have your approved physical and forms uploaded on PRIVIT.

GIRLS TENNIS TRY-OUTS
Girls try-outs are on Thursday as scheduled. If there is a change there will be an announcement on Thursday morning.

COLLEGE VISIT
Juniors and Seniors – Talladega College is going to be at Northview tomorrow for a college information session. To register to attend the morning session, go to the Northview Counseling web site.

TRACK & FIELD
Students who are interested in Track & Field for the upcoming season must have a parent/guardian attend the Track & Field meeting on Tuesday, January 16th at 6:00pm in the Media Center. In order to participate in track you must submit a valid physical exam form to Privit along with a completed information sheet. If you have any questions see Coach Young in room 303 before Tuesday's meeting.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP JOHNS CREEK
Attention Freshmen and Sophomores: Applications for Student Leadership Johns Creek are now available in the front office and must be turned in to Ms. Walker by January 26th. SLJC is a 2-year program for emerging leaders. Students from several area high schools learn leadership skills including goal setting, project management, team building, and communication skills. In addition, opportunities are provided to explore local, county, and state governments. Pick up a brochure and application in the front office!

TENNIS
All boys and girls interested in trying out for tennis must turn in their physical forms and player profile sheet to either Coach McCarthy or Coach Ramage by this Friday January 12th. You also must have uploaded your information on Privit. If you don’t have a current physical on file, you will not be able to try out.

KALEIDESCOPE
Kaleidoscope club is looking for funny and articulate people to be the emcees for International Night. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, January 16th during A lunch, and Wednesday, January 17th during B lunch. Please sign-up outside room 132.

Attention HOSA members! HOSA state qualification testing begins this Thursday after school. Please check your email for date and location details and be sure to bring your charged Chromebook for testing.

FRENCH HONOR SOCIETY
French Honor Society members will meet this afternoon at 3:40pm in room 795. Please bring your children’s stories to share with the Art Honor Society students.

BLACK HISTORY CLUB TRIP
For all the students who planned to attend the black history club trip in November last year, we have rescheduled for 26 January. Please collect permission to be out of class forms from Ms. Pope on Friday.
