This has been another exciting weekend
for Northview. After earning the title of Region
Runner-Up, our Competition Cheerleaders went on to the State Competition
where they placed 8th for the State! Please join me in congratulating
Coach Gilmore and our outstanding team for this accomplishment!
This past Friday, the JROTC once again provided our
Veteran's Day Observance ceremony.
This event has become a cherished tradition at Northview. Please express my appreciation to
all the students who took time to "dress up" this past Friday
in honor of our Veterans.
Our Varsity Football team ended their season as victors in
a decisive win over Alpharetta on Friday evening. Our fan support has been
tremendous, and on behalf of all the coaches and administrators, please
accept my thanks for your continued support of all our student athletes.
Finally, please join me in congratulating Wendy McCarron who was one of a select group
of teachers in the nation to receive a Milkin
Family Foundation Award for outstanding accomplishment as a teacher. Along with the award comes a $25,000 stipend and an all-expense paid trip
to Los Angeles
to attend the formal awards ceremony.
Please allow me to wish everyone a safe and restful
Thanksgiving Holiday! We have
been truly blessed with a great school year and have much to be thankful
for.
Every Upward and Onward!

BRING MOM TO SCHOOL DAY
|
|
Tuesday, November 27th will be our first
Bring Your Mom to School Day. The day set aside for dads each
Spring has proven to be so successful that we decided to offer a special
day in the Fall just for moms. You are encouraged to come and register
before 8:30, then join your student in the Food Court as he/she has breakfast.
Until 10:40, you are welcome to attend classes with your
student. At that time, administrators and counselors will meet with
you in the auditorium to greet you and answer any questions you might
have. Some of you may choose to head on to your other daily
activities at that point, but you are invited to stay throughout the day
if you so choose. Parking will be tight and arrangements are being
made to shuttle mothers in from a neighboring site. Please check
next week's e-newsletter for more details.
