ATTENTION SENIOR PARENTS!!

 

Georgia Tech is Offering a Special Opportunity!

On Wednesday, September 26 th , Randy McDow (Director of the GT President's Scholarship Program) will be hosting a lecture by Apollo astronaut Jim Lovell at the Ferst Center for the Arts on the Georgia Tech Campus.  Mr. Lovell is best known for his involvement in the Apollo 13 mission - a role made famous by the actor Tom Hanks in the movie of the same name.

This special event begins with the Georgia Tech admissions information session at 1 p.m., followed by a campus tour at 2 p.m. and Mr. Lovell's address at 3 p.m. If your child has applied or is interested in applying to Georgia Tech, we encourage them to attend this special event.  President's Scholarship Program applications are due by October 31 st , regular decision deadline is January 15 th .  You may just want to learn more about the programs at Georgia Tech-this is the perfect opportunity seniors to see the campus and hear an historic speaker.

If your student chooses to attend, please make sure to make the necessary arrangements for a pre-approved absence.  Permission must be received 3 days in advance at the attendance office.
