Governor's Cup

Governor Sonny Perdue visited Northview High School on January 30 to present the school with the Governor's Cup for SAT Achievement. This is the second consecutive year Northview has won the award for having the highest increase in SAT scores.
The Governor's Cup Challenge focuses on raising SAT scores across the state. Schools compete on 3-year average gains for their "highest" Total SAT average based on scores from seniors. "Highest" Total SAT scores are obtained by combining the highest verbal and highest math score regardless of the administration.
The Governor's Cup Challenge is organized by Georgia High School Association Class and Region assignments. By using the GHSA assignment of schools, schools are compared with similarly-sized schools within the same region of the state. Northview represents Region 5AAAAA.
