The National Honor Society
The National Honor Society (NHS) is an academic club. Membership is by invitation only. The purpose of the NHS is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in all students of Northview High School. Juniors and Seniors who have a cumulative average of 90 on a scale of 100 at the conclusion of Fall Semester will be invited to submit a portfolio illustrating excellence in academics, leadership, service, and character for use in the selection process. Once a student is inducted, he/she must maintain the high standards by which he/she was selected. Members must attend meetings and fulfill service commitments.
