Parking is available for Juniors and Seniors . In the event that the number of request for parking permits exceeds availability, the following priority system will be used:
To make the distribution of parking permits more equitable, we have made a small change to the requirements for the 2008-09 school year.
Behavior and Discipline is still a major factor. A student may not have any in-school or out-of –school suspensions to be eligible to park on campus.
Attendance is still the second factor. However, instead of counting full days, we will count each period. An all day absence will count as 6 periods but if a student only misses periods 1, 2, and 3 the student will only have 3 periods counted against them. Students with the least number of periods absent will find themselves higher on the parking list.
Category I: Seniors with 60 or less periods absences
Category II: Juniors with 35 or less periods absences
Category III: Seniors with 95 or less periods absences
Category IV: Juniors with 70 or less periods absences
Category V: All remaining students with Seniors listed first.
In case of a tie, tardies to class will be used. All absence are counted in these totals including medical and approved. For additional information, see Mr. Haines.
Drive Smart: To Receive a parking decal, all students must have attended the Drive Smart Program. Check the Parking Permit Calendar for dates.
