Parent-Teacher-Student-Association (PTSA)
Northview High School is fortunate to have an outstanding unit of the National PTA to provide support for our school programs and student activities. The PTSA provides volunteers to assist with various school projects and services, sponsors various Drug & Alcohol Abuse Awareness and Parenting Programs, coordinates networking groups for parents, and serves as an advocacy group for improving educational opportunities. PTSA funds provide expanded technological resources, educational enhancements, funding for substance abuse programs, and capitol projects for the school.

PTSA highlights include sponsoring Curriculum Night, New Student Breakfasts, Information Nights, guest speakers, Honors Night and VIP Nights, and Red Ribbon Week. The PTSA also sponsors the mailing and production of The Titan View, a quarterly newsletter to parents and community members. Activities are open to all parents; dates for specific events are listed in the newsletter and local school calendar.

Local School Council (LSC)
The Local School Council serves as a vehicle of communication between the community and Northview High School as well as the Fulton County Board of Education. LSC is an advisory, not policy making, committee that functions under the guidelines of the Governor’s Education Reform Act. The seven member council is comprised of two teachers, two parents, one business partner, one community member, and the principal.

Parents or students having concerns about policies and procedures, or who wish to provide input regarding proposed policy and procedure revisions are encouraged to utilize LSC as a forum to voice their concerns and suggestions. Individual concerns regarding a particular teacher or student should be communicated through individual teachers, department chairs, assistant principals, or the principal. All meetings are always open to the public; however, those wishing to speak must contact the principal in advance to be placed on the agenda.

Booster Clubs
The Athletic and Fine Arts Associations exist to provide support to our athletic and performing arts organizations. Each year, our parent groups provide much needed equipment, transportation, uniforms, awards, and other services that supplement the resources of the school system. Parents of students involved in school activities are highly encouraged to participate in the appropriate booster organizations.
