The Records Coordinator is
responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date academic records
for your child. These records are of a personal and confidential
nature, and are protected under the Family Educational Rights and
Privacy Act.
To protect your child's privacy and confidentiality, Northview
High School has instituted the following guidelines for requesting
academic records:
To a Private Party:
Twenty-Four hour notice is needed to prepare a copy of a student's educational
records. Call Mrs. Unger at (770) 497-3828.
A written request must be signed by the parent or legal
guardian and submitted to the Records Coordinator. The signature
will be verified by inspection of driver's license or signature
on file.
One copy of your child's records will be provided free of
charge to the parent or legal guardian. Additional copies
are provided at the rate of 25 cents per page, to a maximum
of $5.00.
To Another High School:
" One copy of the student's records will be prepared for a student transferring
to another school, provided proper withdrawal procedures are followed (see "Withdrawing
A Student").
" The new school must send a written request for a final, official transcript,
which will be mailed within 30 days from receiving the request.
NOTE: No educational records will be released to the parent,
student, or institution of higher learning until all financial
obligations are cleared and all school property has been
returned.
